Tokri chaat




















Ingredients-
Wheat flour-11/2 cup
Kalonji-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Steel bowl -1
Water
Fry potatoes cubes-1/2 cup
Curd -2 to 3 tablespoons
Tamarind chutney -2 to 3 tablespoons
Roasted cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder-1/4 tsp
Chopped onion -3 to 4 tablespoon
Chopped chilli -1/2 tablespoons
Chopped coriander leaves- 2 tablespoons
Roasted peanuts-1/2 tablespoons
Boiled black chick pea -1/2 tablespoons
Black salt to taste
Chaat masala -1/4 tsp
Namkeen-2 to 3 tablespoons.

Method.

  • Take a large bowl add wheat flour,kalonji, salt and mix it.
  • Then add oil and mix it.After mixing ,it all starts to come together.
  • Knead stiff dough with help of water.
  • Cover the dough with cloth and keep aside for rest 20 minutes.
  • Divide dough and make a large ball and roll out it like chapati .
  • Cut  chapati into long strip and cover with cloth.
  • Take a small steel bowl and grease it from upside down.
  • Take 4 long strip and put it in on steel bowl in cross manner and you get 8 section.
  • Now take a long strip and press it on one section and turn up and down.Doing this process again and again until bowl cover with strip.
  • Heat oil in kadahi put steel bowl  in kadahi and fry both sides. Remove it and let it cool then remove steel bowl carefully and again fry tokri (without steel bowl )in hot oil.
  • Garnish with fried potatoes, chopped onions, chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chilli, tamarind chutney,black salt,chat masala, roasted cumin powder, boiled chickpeas,red chilli powder,curd, namkeen sev.
  • Ready to serve.
