Khakhra recipe







Ingredients-

Wheat flour -1 1/2 cup
Besan/Chickpea flour -4 tablespoons
Turmeric Powder-1/4
Red chilli powder-1/2
Kasoori methi -1/2 tablespoons
Cumin powder-1/2
Aamchur please-1/2 tablespoons
Finely crushed black pepper -1/2 tablespoons
Black salt to taste
Regular salt to taste
Oil-3 tablespoons

Method


  • Take a large bowl add wheat flour,besan, black salt, regular salt, black pepper, red chilli powder, kasoori methi, cumin powder,aamchur powder turmeric powder,oil and mix it well.
  • Knead medium soft dough using enough water.
  • Keep it aside for rest for 15 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into equal portions and make a small ball.
  • Roll out each ball into very thin chapati using little wheat flour.
  • Heat a tawa and place the khakhra on it and press it with masher continuously until all bubble of khakhra goes away and get crisp and brown from both sides.
  • Cool and store the masala khakhra s in air tight container.
  • Serve it with achar and hot tea.
