Khakhra recipe |
Ingredients-
Wheat flour -1 1/2 cupBesan/Chickpea flour -4 tablespoons
Turmeric Powder-1/4
Red chilli powder-1/2
Kasoori methi -1/2 tablespoons
Cumin powder-1/2
Aamchur please-1/2 tablespoons
Finely crushed black pepper -1/2 tablespoons
Black salt to taste
Regular salt to taste
Oil-3 tablespoons
Method-
- Take a large bowl add wheat flour,besan, black salt, regular salt, black pepper, red chilli powder, kasoori methi, cumin powder,aamchur powder turmeric powder,oil and mix it well.
- Knead medium soft dough using enough water.
- Keep it aside for rest for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and make a small ball.
- Roll out each ball into very thin chapati using little wheat flour.
- Heat a tawa and place the khakhra on it and press it with masher continuously until all bubble of khakhra goes away and get crisp and brown from both sides.
- Cool and store the masala khakhra s in air tight container.
- Serve it with achar and hot tea.
