Chana dal pinwheels

                               












                                 

Ingredients:

Plain flour /wheat flour
Chana dal -1 cup
Cumin seeds-1/2 tablespoon
Whole red chilli -2
Chat masala-1/2 tablespoon
Red chilli powder-1/4 tablespoon
Chopped coriander-1/2 cup
Turmeric powder-1/2 tablespoon
Salt as required
Water as required
Oil for cooking
Plastic wrapper

Method-


  • Wash chana dal and soak in enough water for 30 minutes.
  • Take a pressure cooker add chana dal water ,turmeric powder, and salt and cook until you get 4 to 5 whistle.
  • Remove lid of pressure cooker and check the dal get soft or not , otherwise cook more whistle.
  • Heat oil in kadahi add cumin seeds ,dry red chilli. Allow it to crackle .
  • Add cooked chana dal and saute until chana dal water evoporated completely .
  • Add red chilli powder, chat masala, chopped coriander  ands stir  it for few seconds.
  • Remove from heat and cool it.
  • Take a large bowl add plain flour,oil, a little bit of salt and mix it.
  • Knead the stiff dough using water.
  • Divide dough into two equal parts and make smooth ball and flatten it.
  • Roll out each ball using roll pin and make a chapati.
  • Put chana dal paste on chapati and spread it evenly.
  • Roll out it evenly using plastic wrapper.
  • Fold it tightly.
  • Take a another plastic wrapper and put folded chapati on it and folded it by folding plastic wrapper tightly
  • Remove plastic wrapper and cut in to pieces.
  • Fry it until pinwheels get crispy and golden brown
  • Serve with chutney
