Palak matar

Palak matar












Ingredients-
Spinach-500 gram
Matar /peas-11/2 cup
Chopped onion -1 medium
Chopeded tomato-1 medium
Chopped green chilli-2
Garlic paste-2 tablespoon
Ginger paste-11/2 tablespoon
Kasuri methi/dry fenugreek-2 tablespoon
Bay leaf-2
Cinnamon-1/2 stick
Cardamom-2
Cloves-4
Cumin powder-1/2tablespoon
Black pepper-1/4 tablespoon
Coriander powder-1/2 tablespoon
Turmeric powder-1/4 tablespoon
Red chilli powder 1/2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Oil as required
Fresh cream for garnishing
Method-
Clean and wash palak for 3 to 4 time.
Cut the palak and heat the kadahi add chopped palak and stir until it gets soft.
Remove it and put in bowl.
Heat oil in kadahi add bay leaf,cloves cinnamon,crushed cardamom and allow them to crackle.
Add chopeded onion and saute until it
gets golden brown then add garlic paste , ginger paste,chopped  tomato and saute until it get soft.
Further more add peas and cook until peas get soft.
Add ,turmeric powder,red chilli powder cumin powder,black powder,kasuri methi, coriander powder,salt little amount of water,and saute it .when oil start to get separate from masala than add cooked palak and stir it for 2 to 3 minutes.
Garnish with cream.
Serve with roti or rice
