Banda curry



How to make Banda curry step by step+video



































Ingredients-
Banda -2
Red chilli powder- 1/4 tablespoons
Turmeric chilli powder-1/2 tablespoons
Fenugreek seed -1/4 tablespoons
Mustard seed -1/2 tablespoons
Dry whole red chilli -2
Cumin powder-1/2 tablespoons
Black pepper powder-1/4 tablespoons
Coriander powder-1/2 tablespoons
Mustard powder-1/2 tablespoons
Dry Mango powder- 1/2 tablespoons
Kashmiri red chilli powder-1/2 tablespoons
Asafoetida powder - a pinch
Salt as required
Oil for cooking

Method-


  • Cut the top portion of Banda  and peel it using knife or peeler.
  • Cut into small pieces.
  • Rinse it through water 2 to 3 times.
  • Heat oil in kadahi add mustard seed and dry whole red chilli .
  • Let them crackle then add chopped Banda ,a little bit of salt and stir it for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  • Remove it from oil .
  • In remaining oil add fenugreek seed and wait for crackle then add garlic paste and stir until raw aroma of garlic goes away.
  • Add turmeric powder red chilli powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, coriander powder,dry Mustard powder,dry mango powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, asafoetida powder ,salt ,a little bit of water and stir it for 2 minutes 
  • Now add fried Banda in it and stir it.
  • Further add water and cook until they get soft.
  • Ready to serve with chapati.
