Dahi vada |
Ingredients.
For vada
Urad dal-2 cup
Chopeded green chilli-2
Chopeded ginger-2 tablespoon
Chopped coriander-3 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Asafoetida-a pinch(optional)
Lukewarm water as required
Oil for frying
For topping
Tamrind chutney
Coriander chutney
Curd-2 cup
Sugar- 1/2 cup sugar
Black salt
Roasted cumin powder -2 tablespoon
Red chilli powder-1 tablespoon
Sev namkeen 2 to 3 tablespoons
Boondi namkeen- 2 to 3 tablespoon
Method-
- Clean and wash urad dal through running water .
- Soak urad dal overnight or 6 to 8 hours.
- Grind urad dal coarsely with help of water
- Batter consistency should be thick.
- Remove all batter from grinder and put on a large bowl .
- Add chopped green chilli,chopped ginger chopped coriander leaves,salt and whisk batter in same direction.
- When it's done than drop a little bit of batter in cold water.if batter float on top of water ,its means batter is ready to fry.
- Drop vada in hot oil with help of wet finger and fry until it gets golden brown.
- Drain it from oil and dip in lukewarm water for 15 minute .In lukewarm water you can add salt and asafoetida.
- Drain it from water and lightly press with palm one by one so that excess water ooze out
- Take a thick consistency curd in bowl add sugar and mix it
- Take a bowl put vada than add beaten curd,tamarind chutney,coriander chutney,black salt,roasted cumin powder red chilli powder.
- Garnish with sev,boondi
- Serve it
